The trick is getting the tape to release from the vinyl without putting so much stress on the vinyl that it weakens the newly formed bond between the adhesive and the substrate.

In most cases squeegeeing the vinyl at a 45 degree angle with overlapping firm strokes will rid the vinyl of most of the bubbles and prevent wrinkles.

We frequently get questions about preventing bubbles when installing vinyl on smooth flat surfaces. Doing a wet application is easy and will prevent any bubbles that might occur during a dry application. Don t be concerned about pressing too hard. Use a stack of books to weight it down until it rebonds.
